How about helping them raise the bar on their diving knowledge and skills, by becoming Advanced Open Water Divers, and earning their DSMB (Delayed Surface Marker Buoy) Specialty Certification at the same time? Indian Valley Scuba offers a one-week day camp where scuba-certified kids age 12 & up will learn how to take the skills they already have up a notch and add a bundle of new ones to go along with them! Plus gain some valuable diving experience too!
All academic materials, lunches, snacks, rental scuba equipment, certification fees, and Lake Aquarius admission fees are included, and the campers will have the opportunity to qualify for their Advanced Open Water and Specialty Diver Checkout Dives and to earn their PADI Advanced Open Water Plus+ Diver Certification. This program consists of academic sessions at the dive center, confined water skill refresher/review sessions in the pool, and two days of open water diving at our local Dive Site. Plus they get an equipment care and maintenance session too! Successful completion of all components will result in the camper earning three PADI certifications – Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and DSMB Specialty Diver. Plus, they get an introduction to the proper care and maintenance of scuba gear, as well as being able to make minor adjustments and repairs! The Open Water dives required to complete the student certification are included in the camp program, however, admission to the Dive Site is not.
