Dive, dive, dive - it's what we do! The gang at Indian Valley Scuba dives year round, in all sorts of water - warm, cold, clear, dark, shallow, deep, fresh, salt - just pick your favorite flavor! Listed below are the trips we have set up for 2008 and beyond - see which ones you want to join us on and call the shop to sign up! And get ready to start accumulating your '08 bottom time!

Last year's trip was great, this one should be even better! Springs, caves, caverns, big cute cuddly mammals - what more can you ask for?   We're heading down for Super Bowl weekend, staying on the Homossasa River, and diving 4 days, starting with Manatees, Kings Spring & a drift dive down th Rainbow River on Friday, Blue Hole & Devils Grotto on Saturday, Ginnie Springs on Sunday, then an open day for whatever everyone wants to do on Monday.  A fantastic way to start the dive season off, still at last year's price of only $640 per person! This trip sold out early in 2007, so reserve your spot today!

Ready to raise your diving to the highest level?  Come and become a PADI dive instructor with Indian Valley Scuba.  Share the love for what you do with others, and get paid for it!   Training starts in Harleysville, and then we head down to sunny St. Croix for the final portion of the program, and the PADI Instructor Examination!   What a great way to get started in this wonderful career! Join IVS as we head down to explore the jungle and cave systems of the Dominican Republic, home to some of the most extensive and unexplored cave and cavern systems in the world! One full week of diving in remote pack-in locations, exploring cave systems and laying new line where no others have gone before! What an experience to perhaps be the first human to ever set sights on some of the most beautiful cave systems known to man! Seven days on the island, at least six to eight cave systems will be explored! Only $1,200 per person, this trip is a technical cavers dream come true!  

What a way to beat the winter blues and start the season off right!   Our first Key Largo excursion of the season starts Thursday evening, and we head home Monday with 14 or more dives under our weight belts!  Beautiful reefs, wrecks, Spiegel Grove wreck penetration dives, USS Duane dives, a couple of optional night dives.....the folks at Indian Valley Scuba know how to do the Keys right!  This trip includes lodging at Amoray Dive Resort, six 2-tank dive trips, tanks, weights, air fills and a dockside barbecue.  Without question, the best dive value $750 per person can buy! 

Another chance to get out and do some serious diving on the largest artificial reef in the world, the USS Oriskany. Last years trip sold out early!!!  This trip will take eight of our more adventurous divers to dive the Mighty ‘O’, the world’s biggest artificial reef.  The Oriskany is an 888 ft. long aircraft carrier sunk last year in the Gulf of Mexico, 22 miles offshore from Pensacola.  We will be running out to the wreck three days on a large, fast, comfortable 38 foot Newton dive boat, and divers have the option of diving this majestic wreck on a technical or recreational level. Price includes three days of diving, and lodging in the hotel adjacent to the dive shop. Each diver is responsible for their own gear including tanks, and limited rentals are available on-site. Doubles and stage bottles for the tech divers can be transported to the site in the IVS trailer. Air, oxygen & helium is available for fills & top-offs. 100% computer diving and planned deco diving allowed.  Diving depths range from 65 ft to 212 ft, so there is something for every level of diver, from recreational to technical. Join Dave Valaika and Richie Kohler of Shadow Divers fame as they explore some very cool and very deep wrecks off the Dry Tortugas Islands, including the Rhein (250'), the Araby Maid (210'), and others. What a great chance to do some true deep wreck exploration in the warm clear waters off Key West. Only two spots remain at $1,500 per person. Our first Jersey wreck dive of the year, join us as we head out on Wednesday, May 21st, for a 2- or 3-tank excursion to snag some lobster, gather some mussels, and otherwise enjoy ourselves in the world’s biggest seafood market.  We'll be diving on the Venture III, berthed in Belmar, NJ, and captained by the famous Paul Hepler & his lovely wife Ruth.  Join us for carpooling to the boat, and make sure you're there early to load for the 7:00 am. departure.  Advanced or better certification level, pony bottle, computer, lights and a knife / line cutter are required.  Wetsuits work but dry is better for enjoying your dive in the 48 to 50 degree water.  This is a mid-week trip, and will be repeated throughout the season. News Flash!!! - This year we will be adding an option to join Indian Valley Scuba on Monday as we drive down to Key West to dive America's newest artificial reef - the USS Vanderbilt! Scheduled to be sunk in mid-May, we will be among the very first divers to explore this great new addition to the artificial reef system. Two days of diving are planned on an ala carte basis, so sign up to join us and guarantee your spot on this new adventure!

News Flash!!! - Update on the News Flash! - Since the parties involved could not get together and pay off the cleaning bill on this wreck, the ship has been liened by the shipyard, so there will be NO sinking and NO diving until someone finds about a million and a half in the checking account to square things up! Let's head down to the Jersey shore and start the season off with a trip to one of our local underwater seafood buffets, the Shark River Inlet. This will be a day of shore diving in the inlet, with opportunities for spearfishing, lobster hunting, and sight-seeing. Drysuits will be in order, considering the early season water temperature. We'll head out from the shop early, with arrival time on site to be 7:30 a.m. to catch the slack tide. We'll do one dive in the inlet and the second in the back bay. Call the shop to get in on this fun, and join us in carpooling to the site. Advanced or better certification level, pony bottle, computer, lights and a knife / line cutter are required.  Wetsuits will work but dry is better for enjoying your dive in the 48 to 50 degree water.  This is a mid-week trip, and may be repeated throughout the season. We're off to play on a different boat this Saturday, heading down to dive the coast off of Delaware. Our friends at Scuba Venture have chartered the vessel Lady Godiver for a day of Atlantic wreck diving. The boat is berthed in Pot-Nets, DE. Join Indian Valley Scuba Digital Photo Pro Randy Rudd as he leads a week long digital underwater photography program for us, right in one of the most photogenic places in the caribbean, the island of Bonaire. This weekend we bring Digital Photo Pro Randy Rudd, from the IVS Savannah training center, north to teach his tips and techniques for great digital underwater photography. If you joined him last year, or in Bonaire, you know how much of an improvement your U/W photo skills can improve in just a few hours of working with Randy. He's coming up twice to teach in Harleysville and conduct the demo days at Dutch, so make sure you register for his class at the shop, then take it to the streets, so to speak, at Dutch. And of course, great fixin's to be had at the IVS tent!

Ready to raise your diving to the highest level AND do it in the coolest way around?  Come join us on the largest trimaran in the Caribbean, the Cuan Law, as Barbara DeClerque and Dave Valaika host an IDC that is really tough to beat! Spend your days studying and learning while you sail the clear blue warm waters of the BVI, diving before breakfast, on breaks and each evening (after all your homework is done, of course!). Training starts in Harleysville, and then we head down to the island of Tortola to board the boat to complete the program, and prepare for the PADI Instructor Examination!   What a great way to get started in this wonderful career! Join us for another long weekend of great diving on the wrecks of the St. Lawrence Seaway. This time of the year the water is near 80 degrees and the visibility is phenomenal. We'll be staying in Alexandria Bay or Rockport, and from there it is just a short hop on the boat to our dive sites. The wrecks are plentiful and most are intact, making for some very cool dives. We have 4 days of rec & tec diving planned, so there are activities for everyone! Costs and details being worked out at this time.

This weekend we'll come up with something exciting to demo at Dutch, or maybe just bring the whole lot to play! As always, there will be plenty of goings on, lots of fun, laughter and friends, and great diving as the water at Dutch hits its seasonal highs in the upper 70's at depth. Come on out and play! This weekend we once again bring Randy Rudd, from the IVS Savannah training center, north to teach his tips and techniques for great digital underwater photography. Your U/W photography will improve dramatically in just a few short lessons with Randy, so couple this weekend with his Underwater Digital Photography class at IVS and get the whole enchilada! And of course, we're BBQ'ing the entire weekend too!

Ready for something very new and very exciting? Fly out to the left coast with us and enjoy the best the west has to offer. Starting in San Diego, we'll visit Wreck Alley, home of the biggest artificial reef wreck on the west coast, the Yukon. Surrounded by lush kelp forests, this is a super dive in the usually clear, temperate waters of southern Calif. We'll do a 2 or 3 tank trip there, then, we head up the coast a bit to Long beach for the night. A cool tour and drinks on the majestic Queen Mary await us, and we spend the night in a local hotel. First thing in the morning, we take a high-speed ferry over to Catalina Island for a day of sightseeing and shore diving off one of the neatest places around - Avalon, Calif.! When we return back on the mainland, we'll head right up to spend the night aboard the Sundiver, also based in Long Beach. Early morning we'll awake to a great breakfast served up by Capt,. Kyaa and crew aboard the boat, as we motor to the first of our three or four dive sites in the Southern Channel Islands for the day. After a great day of diving, and being fed lunch and dinner on board, we'll get back and run up to the OC (Orange County), for the night, and then greet the next morning with a Laguna Beach shore dive and a local BBQ! At that point some of our group may head home from LAX, and the rest of us will enjoy a scenic drive up US-1, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway, to Monteray and Carmel-by-the-Sea, just south of San Franciso. We'll enjoy the sights of the area, and spend the night in a local hotel, ready for the final leg of our left-coast adventure. Next morning we'll head out to wrap up our expedition with some cage diving among the great white sharks that come to feed on the resident seals and sea lions who birth their young in the Farallon Islands this time of the year. After that, fly home from SF. What an adventure! Details and costs are still being worked out but this is an adventure you won't want to miss!

The last Indian Valley Scuba BBQ weekend of the year!  Don’t miss this one as we say goodbye and help pull the cover over Dutch Springs for another winter.  As usual, we’ll be grilling and chilling to our heart’s delight and getting a fun weekend of diving at Dutch Springs.  Look for the IVS trailer and listen for the group laughing the loudest there – that’ll be us for sure!!  No cost, just your entry fee to Dutch.

Every year, the Dive Equipment Manufacturing Industry puts together one huge trade show, called the DEMA Show. At this annual gathering, manufacturers get to show off all the latest in gear technology and choices, dive destinations come from around the globe to showcase themselves and educate the dive industry decision makers as to why we should be visiting them, and best of all, there are seminars and informational training sessions galore on every imaginable topic! The show is going to be held in Las Vegas this year, so with the combination of DEMA, Las Vegas, and nearby Lake Mead, how could we resist putting together a trip to head there? We'll go in for the show, then stay an extra couple of days and get a chance to dive in nearby Lake Mead - and if conditions permit, a tech dive on the B-29 that was recently discovered there! We'll also tour the Hoover Dam and take in some local sites. This is more of an adventure expedition than a dive trip, but hey - that's what we do here at IVS! Details and costs are being worked out, but if you want to participate, regsiter early, as we will only have a limited number of spots available.

We saved the biggest and best trip for nearly the end for 2008, with a two week dive extravaganza to the land down under - Australia. We'll fly into Cairns, board the 102' Spirit of Freedom for a seven day journey along the largest living coral reef system in the world, the Great Barrier Reef. We'll head north along the GBR for three days, then, after a visit to Lizard Island, we'll return, but this time we'll dive our way for the next four days through the beautiful Coral Sea, to complete our sea-based portion of the expedition. From there we disembark, and we have several choices for land-based sightseeing & exploration packages to choose from. On the final day we'll return home, full of stories, experiences and smiles to share. There are only 24 spots on this trip, so get your $1,000 deposit in early to guarantee a berth and select your cabin early! Cabins are selected on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't delay!
