What a way to beat the winter blues and start the season off right!   Our first Key Largo excursion of the season starts Thursday evening, and we head home Monday with 14 or more dives under our weight belts!  Beautiful reefs, wrecks, Spiegel Grove wreck penetration dives, USS Duane dives, a couple of optional night dives.....the folks at Indian Valley Scuba know how to do the Keys right!  This trip includes lodging at Amoray Dive Resort, six 2-tank dive trips, tanks, weights, air fills and maybe even a dockside barbecue.  Without question, the best dive value $750 per person can buy!

Last year's trip was great, this one should be even better! Springs, caves, caverns, big cute cuddly mammals - what more can you ask for?   We're heading down for a long weekend, staying on the Homosassa River, and diving 3 days, starting with diving with the Manatees, exploring Kings Spring & a really cool drift dive down the Rainbow River on Friday, Blue Grotto & Devils Den springs on Saturday, and Ginnie Springs on Sunday.  A perfect opportunity for some cave exploration (for cave certified divers) or to complete your Cavern Diver specialty certification!  Head back home on Monday.  A fantastic weekend of some very different diving, still at last year's price of only $640 per person! Transportation not included.  This trip sold out early in 2007 & 2008, so reserve your spot today!

Another chance to get out and do some serious diving on the largest artificial reef in the world, the USS Oriskany. The last two years’ trips sold out early!!!  This road trip will take five of our more adventurous wreck & tech certified divers to dive the Mighty ‘O’, the world’s biggest artificial reef.  The Oriskany is an 888 ft. long aircraft carrier sunk in the Gulf of Mexico, 22 miles offshore from Pensacola.  We will be running out to the wreck two days on a large, fast, comfortable 29 foot catamaran dive boat, and we’ll be doing two technical dives each day on this majestic wreck, with progressive penetration being the plan.  The third dive each day will be on an inshore reef, where our hunters will have the opportunity to spearfish for grouper, hogfish and other tasty species.  On Monday we’ll head to Vortex Spring in nearby Ponce de Leon, for some great cave & cavern diving.  Here’s your chance to complete your Cavern Diver specialty certification!   Due to the depths, this is a technical-only trip, and proper certifications and gear configurations are required.  Price includes three days of diving, and lodging in the hotel adjacent to the dive shop. Each diver is responsible for their own gear including tanks, and limited rentals are available on-site.  Air, oxygen & helium are available for fills & top-offs. 100% computer diving and planned deco diving is allowed.  Diving depths range from 65 ft to 212 ft, so there is something for every level of diver, from recreational to technical. Here’s your opportunity for an entirely different sort of diving, and the chance to actually give something back to one of our favorite reef systems!  This special trip includes two days of coral reef education and live coral restoration work with Ken Nedimyer, founder of the Coral Restoration Foundation.  Ken will treat our citizen-scientists to several informative and educational lectures on the ins & outs of working with live coral, and how the restoration program works.  Then we’ll head out to the reef or the nursery, depending on the current conditions, and work with live coral clippings that will be used to restore damaged sections of the reef system.  How cool it this?  This trip is being run the two days preceeding the ever-popular Memorial Day Key Largo weekend, so you can just stay down and enjoy another 14 or so dives to show off your work to your friends!   This trip is a bargain at $400, and your participation fee includes a donation to support the work of the Coral Restoration Foundation. 

This trip has sold out every year - don't delay!!!  The Florida Keys, always great diving, fun people, usually super weather, and so close to home! News Flash!!! - This year we will once again try to add an option to drive down to Key West on Monday to dive America's newest artificial reef - the USS Vandenberg!   Although delayed from last year, this ship is scheduled to be sunk in mid-May, and we’ll be among the very first divers to explore this great new addition to the artificial reef system. Two days of diving are planned on an ala carte basis, but available boat spaces are limited, so sign up to join us and guarantee your spot on this new adventure!

Ready to get down and see all sorts of things you never noticed before while diving? They think about coming out and joining Team IVS for this Normoxic Trimix Advanced Technical Wreck expedition to visit the deep wrecks of the St. Lawrence Seaway. We'll be diving some of the lesser visited wrecks, located at maximum depths of 170 ft. and using trimix mixtures to sharpen our wits and improve our bottom time profiles. Come learn what diving wiht helium blends is all about and how it can make a great difference in your deeper dives. Trimix certification required for this expedition. Drive up late Friday night, three great days of planned-deco diving, and head home Monday afternoon. Water temps should be warm enough to dive wet, and the viz will be fantastic.  We'll be staying in Alexandria Bay, and from there it is just a short hop on the boat to our dive sites.  This is an all-technical trip. Rebreather diving is welcome and encouraged on this trip.  The wrecks are plentiful and most are intact, making for some very cool dives. Another great trip is planned with our friends at Olympus Dive Center, as we explore the Graveyard of the Atlantic. U-boats, war sinkings, natural disasters and artificial reefs make for some of the best warm water diving in the east. Each year we typically enjoy balmy 85 degree water and over 100 ft. of visibility every day!  And sharks, sharks & more sharks!!  As usual, this IVS trip includes more than your average North Carolina expedition, with three full days of 3-tank diving (2 tanks on day one).  Eight great dives, underwater sightseeing, photography, wreck penetration, a Fourth of July fireworks show, and spearfishing – what a great combination!  And did we mention sharks?? Divers can choose accommodations at the Olympus Diving Lodge (included in package) or, for a small upgrade, at the nearby Holiday Inn Express.  This trip sells out every year!   At only $680 per person this trip will sell out early - don't be left high & dry!

Join us for the tech exploration trip of the year, to the Mecca of wreck diving – the Andrea Doria.  This majestic Italian liner, made famous in the book Shadow Diver, lies in 235 feet of dark, cold water in the North Atlantic.  We’ll be spending three days on the site, with two dives per day.  Advanced technical certification and plenty of experience required, as well as Trimix certification.   Only two spots remain at $2,350 per person. Last year this trip sold out early!  Team IVS brought home 106 lobsters in two days of hunting!!!  We’ll head down early and spend two days hunting & catching spiny lobsters on the reefs, and then we'll all enjoy a private dinner party at a local restaurant, where the chefs will prepare our catch and add all the fixin's for a superb dinner for all!  Don’t know how to catch lobsters?  We’ll be glad to teach you!   Only $350 for two days of fun & lobster hunting, including a bright and early 3-tank morning dive (starting an hour before sunrise), and a 3-tank late afternoon dive (ending one hour after sunset), air fills, tanks, weights, & accommodations at Amoray Dive Resort. Extend your trip to the Carolinas with two more days of blackwater diving in the Cooper River, SC. Another great trip is planned with the folks at Olympus Dive Center, as we explore some of the great wrecks off the North Carolina coast.  Without a doubt some of the finest warm water diving in the east. Ready to get down and deep with us? Really down and really deep?? Join Team IVS for this technical expedition to visit the deep wrecks of the St. Lawrence Seaway. We'll be staying in Alexandria Bay and diving the American side two days, with a one day excursion to Canada to dive the Brockville area wrecks. This is an all-technical trip,, and we'll be running it in conjunction with our recreational trip (above). Rebreather diving is welcome and encouraged on this trip.  The wrecks are plentiful and most are intact, making for some very cool dives. OK, enough exotic diving already!!!   How about a local trip, to our neighbors just down the road to the south, where we can gather fresh oysters to our hearts content, then throw some on the grill and enjoy them right at the dive site?   We’ll carpool down Friday night, spend Saturday doing a day of diving aboard a local dive boat, gathering oysters and seeing some local underwater structure, and then spend Sunday morning shore diving for even more oysters at some of the local hotspots.  The trip includes the diving!   This is an ala carte sort of dive adventure, so confirm your spot, and we’ll work together to set up the carpool and arrange a local hotel to put us up for the two nights.  Sunday afternoon we’ll head back home, with coolers full of goodies!  Call the shop for more details on this local adventure trip.

We saved one of the best trips of the year for the end – a visit to Mona Island, known as the Galapagos of the Caribbean.  Uninhabited, isolated, and rarely visited, this island is famous for vibrant healthy reefs, great walls, underwater tunnels and caves, and a fantastic variety of sea life of all sorts.  We'll board the Nekton Pilot in Mayaguez for a week long all-inclusive liveaboard experience as we visit Desecheo, Mona, and several more out-islands off the west coast of Puerto Rico.  And to make this trip even cooler, you’ll be able to complete your Rebreather Specialty Certification while enjoying this great diving.  We only have 9 spots, so get your deposit in early to guarantee a berth.  This trip is only $1,845 per person exclusive of transportation to and from Mayaguez, PR, port taxes and fuel surcharge, if applicable at time of sailing.
